Allan Lichtman, the renowned historian and election analyst, has released his forecast for the upcoming U.S. presidential election, predicting a victory for Democrat Kamala Harris over Republican Donald Trump.

Using his “13 Keys” model, which has accurately predicted nine of the last ten elections, Lichtman has cemented his reputation as a true election guru.

This model, developed in 1984, relies on 13 factors or «keys» that determine the success or failure of a presidential candidate.

Among the keys favoring Harris are her advantages in economic and national policy issues, as well as the absence of significant social conflicts during Biden’s administration.

Allan Lichtman explained that Harris won nine of these 13 keys, which gives her, according to his model, a high probability of winning the November 5 election.

The “13 Keys” method has proven reliable over the years, with only one miss in the 2000 election, when it incorrectly predicted Al Gore’s victory over George W. Bush.

Even so, Lichtman has maintained his prestige and continues to be a respected voice in the U.S. electoral field, as reported by El Financiero.

Why is Kamala Harris the Favorite?

In reviewing the “keys” won by Harris, Allan Lichtman highlighted several crucial factors.

First, the absence of a strong third-party candidate favors the Democrats, as contenders like Robert F. Kennedy failed to gain sufficient support in the polls.

Regarding the economy, per capita economic growth has held steady under Joe Biden, with no signs of a short-term recession.

In national policy, Lichtman believes Biden has implemented significant changes, which also benefits Harris.

Additionally, there has been no significant social unrest in the country, further strengthening Kamala Harris’ candidacy, according to El Financiero.

Finally, on the international front, Biden has been praised for supporting Ukraine in its resistance to Russia—a success that, according to Lichtman, adds stability to Harris’s campaign.

Though Trump maintains a loyal following, Harris has shown appeal among voters of various ethnicities, adding another advantage.

Lichtman concluded that despite challenges, Harris possesses the necessary elements to win the election.
