The Mexican TikToker known as ‘El Chilango,’ famous for selling sweets in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, and for his videos in support of El Chapo Guzmán, has been murdered.

According to media reports from outlets like El Universal, the man named Juan Carlos ‘N’ was shot dead in a hail of bullets on one of the avenues in the Isla Musala subdivision.

He was known for selling sweets, USB drives with music, and for becoming famous on TikTok through his recordings dedicated to El Chapo Guzmán and his sons, known as ‘Los Chapitos.’

The murder took place on Saturday night on Tachichilte Street in the Isla Musala subdivision, in front of a gas station and a bank.

Reports from the Sinaloa Public Security Secretariat indicate that two young men on a motorcycle shot at the TikToker.

El Chilango was selling his sweets when the young men approached and shot him, killing him instantly in the street.

The assailants reportedly escaped without issue, despite the area being guarded by the National Guard.

On social media, users pointed out the kind of content the TikToker was making, allegedly targeting organized crime groups.

Several ‘X’ accounts, like El Diario del Narco and Un Conservador, shared El Chilango’s recording, along with graphic images showing his body lying in the street.

«…for the chaos, long live the boss Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, f***… all the way for Iván Archivaldo’s people,» was part of what Juan Carlos ‘N’ said in the video.

Authorities are investigating the case, but it is speculated that he was likely killed by a criminal group opposed to Los Chapitos.
