A 4.2 magnitude earthquake shook central California early Sunday morning, raising concerns in nearby communities.
The earthquake was detected at 2:47 a.m. local time.
Its epicenter was located approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) northwest of the town of Aromas, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake, which occurred at a depth of 7.4 kilometers (4.59 miles), was felt in various surrounding areas, The Associated Press reported.
