In Lebanon, an airstrike killed 23 people in the village of Aalmat, north of Beirut, an area that has traditionally been away from Hezbollah’s areas of influence.

The Ministry of Health confirmed six additional injuries, according to AP.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military claimed that the attacks in Gaza were targeted at militant positions, though it did not present evidence to support these claims.

The situation in northern Gaza is critical, as Israeli forces have surrounded the towns of Jabaliya, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, severely restricting access to humanitarian aid.

A food security panel warned that famine in the region is imminent, if not already occurring, and international pressure is expected to increase.

The United States has demanded that Israel allow greater access to humanitarian aid, in an effort to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Local statistics indicate that more than 43,000 Palestinians have died since the beginning of the offensive, over half of whom are women and children.

Approximately 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, and many reside in overcrowded camps without access to basic services.
