Former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday called on Christians and gun owners to vote in the presidential election to help him return to the White House at a rally in Florida.

«Christians have to vote. I don’t want to scold them, but Christians don’t vote as much as they should.»

«They are not big voters (…) People who own guns and rifles are not big voters.»

«You have to vote. If you don’t vote, we’re not going to win the election. If you vote, we’re going to win in a landslide,» Trump said at the Believers’ Summit, a faith-focused event being held in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The president repeatedly stressed the «enormous» power that Christians have and asked that religious group to give the Republican Party a «chance.»

«They have to go out, at least in this election. Just give us the opportunity and take us to that beautiful White House. Vote for your congressmen and senators. We will change this country for the better,» said the tycoon.

However, he noted that his second term would be so successful that they would not have to vote in the next election.

«We will resolve everything so well that they will not have to vote again,» he stressed.

Has he forgotten Kamala Harris?

From the stage, Trump again described Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as a radical leftist extremist and called her too liberal on immigration and abortion.

Trump has described himself as the opposite figure, saying he would seal the border on his first day in office and supporting abortion regulations.

He also thanked conservative Supreme Court justices, including the three he appointed during his 2017-2021 term, for overturning the Roe v. Wade ruling that protected abortion nationwide in 2022.

However, the former president noted that he supported exceptions to abortion restrictions in cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s life is in danger, and, according to The New York Times, he was booed by the audience when he qualified that point.
