Former President Donald Trump sent a message to immigrants, especially Hispanics, within the framework of his victory speech.

While his triumph in the November 5th election is not yet official, Trump spoke to thousands of his supporters at the Palm Beach Convention Center.

The Republican first stated that he will «seal the borders» of the country and will only allow immigrants to enter «legally.»

In his speech, awaiting confirmation that he has surpassed the necessary 270 electoral votes, Trump moderated his stance on immigration.

Trump Assures He Will Let Immigrants In, But With a Condition

In fact, he did not mention the promise of «mass deportation» that he has repeated at all his campaign rallies.

«We are going to seal our borders and we will have to let people who come into the country,» said the Republican.

«We want people to come back. We have to let them come back, but they are going to have to do it legally,» he clarified.

«They have to come, but they must do so legally,» Trump emphasized in front of hundreds of party members at the convention center, where he was also surrounded by his family.

«We need to help our country heal. We have a country that needs help, and it needs it urgently,» he stated.

«We are going to fix our borders,» Trump declared as he appeared with a clear path to victory after winning in the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric during the campaign has been very belligerent.

This includes accusing immigrants of generating criminality, coming to the country to commit crimes, and stealing jobs from Americans.

He has also said that he would use martial law to massively detain undocumented people and expel them.

Trump proclaimed himself the winner of the U.S. elections early Wednesday morning.

This victory is close to being confirmed and suggests that he has overwhelmingly defeated Democrat Kamala Harris.

It will be the first time in over a century that a former president becomes president again after losing an election.

It will also be the first time that a convicted criminal reaches the Presidency of the country.

He presented himself even before mathematically securing the necessary 270 electoral college votes.

Although Fox News, a channel aligned with the conservative party, had already predicted it a few minutes earlier.

His victory is practically forecasted, waiting for another network to proclaim it.

And it is that the Republican only needs the 3 delegates from the conservative state of Alaska, the last to close the polls, for him to declare victory.

Additionally, the Republican leads in the rest of the four key states: Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada.

This could give him a resounding victory and also the majority of the popular vote, something he did not achieve in his first election.
