Good news in the United States! Millions of eligible Americans will receive direct payments of up to $1,500 this summer and the exact date when the money will reach the pockets of the beneficiaries has been announced.
With a new federal stimulus nowhere on the horizon for Americans, many state and local governments are doling out extra money to their residents this summer to help them deal with the rising inflation plaguing the country.

In Colorado, eligible residents will receive tax refund checks of $750 per person by mail. To receive the payment, it is essential to have filed your 2021 taxes, The Sun reported. Colorado’s refund checks will be funded by taxes collected by the state thanks to a law known as TABOR that requires the state to return any excess money to residents.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Colorado Governor Jared Polis estimated that the «vast majority» of Coloradans will receive a check by the end of next week or the week after, The Denver Post reports. Filed Under: US summer checks
Who qualifies for the payments?

To receive the payment this summer, residents must have filed an income tax return with the state by June 30, 2022. Those who have filed the state return will still receive their money, however, they will have to wait until January 2023 to receive payments.
To qualify, individuals must be at least 18 years old as of December 31, 2021, and have been a full-time resident of Colorado for all of 2021. The Colorado program will send $750 checks to individual and $1,500 checks to those who file their taxes jointly. Filed Under: US summer checks

In a separate statement, Governor Polis told Coloradans to check their mail throughout the month of August to see if they have received their tax refunds.

The Federal government will invest millions of dollars in aid

Separately, the federal government has promised $400 million in grants and loans to expand the reach and improve the speed of the internet for rural residents, tribes and businesses in remote parts of 11 states from Alaska to Arkansas. US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told reporters that farmers, store owners, school children and people seeking telehealth medical checkups will benefit from the ReConnect and Telecommunications Infrastructure Loan programs and Loan Guarantee.
«Connectivity is critical to economic success in rural America,» Vilsack said in a statement in which he counted the number of people who could receive help at about 31,000 in states that also include Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota and Texas. The release says the Agriculture Department plans to spend more on high-speed Internet in the coming weeks as part of a $65 billion Biden administration plan to expand affordable, high-speed Internet to every community in the US, AP reported.
