A California dermatologist was arrested for allegedly poisoning her husband with Drano. The man installed a hidden camera which recorded her when she was pouring the cleaner into his drinks, the authorities reported, according to El Universal agency. Dr. Yue Yu, 45, was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail, the Irvine Police Department reported in a press release. She was released after posting $30,000 bond.

In an attempt to catch his wife redhanded, the husband set up cameras in their house to record her and shared the video with police, Lt. Bill Bingham told NBC News. The man explained to the police that he had been suffering from an unexplained ailment for about a month.
«His condition got worse and worse and based on the husband examining his routine and seeing what might be causing it, he became suspicious of his wife and set up a hidden camera that caught her poisoning him,» said Bill Bingham, a police lieutenant in the city of Irvine, according to El Universal. Chen «sustained significant internal injuries» but is expected to recover. Authorities are investigating a potential motive. According to Bingham, “we believe this is a home-related incident. We did not discover anything that could worry the patients she treated,» explained El Universal.
