Jill Jacobson passed away at the age of 70 on December 8, but her death was not confirmed until December 16.
It was reported that she was battling a difficult and sorrowful illness, though no specifics were disclosed.

The actress had notable roles in both film and television.
She began her career in Nurse Sherri but gained fame for her appearances in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
She also featured in the legendary Days of Our Lives as well as Falcon Crest and The New Gidget.
Jill Jacobson’s extensive career includes projects like Forbidden Love, Splash, Bad Georgia Road, and The Time Travelers.

Jill Jacobson is remembered as a woman with a “brilliant sense of humor and great enthusiasm and love for life,” according to her colleague Caryn Richman.
