A deadly shooting unfolded in Detroit’s Eastern Market shortly after a Detroit Lions game, leaving one person dead and another injured.
The incident took place in Shed 6, an area known for hosting gatherings before and after sporting events.
According to police reports, the shooting stemmed from a fight that escalated into gun violence.
Detroit Police Chief James White confirmed that the suspect is a man in his 30s, a resident of Oak Park, who holds a CPL license to carry firearms.
POLICE WERE ALREADY IN THE AREA
Police were already present in the area due to the influx of people attending the game, and according to White, officers on the scene heard the gunshots and responded immediately.
Thanks to their quick intervention, they managed to detain the suspect, who is now in custody.

“This is ridiculous. It’s absolutely ridiculous,» White said after the shooting, according to WXYZ.
The police chief expressed his frustration that a seemingly minor altercation resulted in such a tragic outcome.
