On Tuesday, August 27, Cristóbal Campos, the goalkeeper for San Antonio Unido, celebrated his 25th birthday.
In the early hours of Monday, September 2, this prominent Hispanic footballer of Chilean origin suffered a devastating accident.
The car he was traveling in overturned, leaving Cristóbal with severe injuries.
Unfortunately, doctors had to amputate his right foot, marking the end of his career.
Cristóbal Campos Was Traveling Alone
According to Medio Tiempo, the day before the accident, Cristóbal Campos played with his team against Trasandino.
At one point, the goalkeeper was considered a promising candidate for Chile’s National Team.

However, in 2023, he was dismissed from Universidad de Chile, his club at the time.
The reason? Campos was reported to the Occidente Prosecutor’s Office for domestic violence.
According to the same source, Cristóbal was traveling alone when the accident occurred.
For reasons still unknown, his car overturned, and medical assistance arrived quickly.
Sadly, despite their efforts, the goalkeeper could not avoid the amputation of his right foot.
Messages of support for the young footballer soon flooded social media.
Finally, it was later reported that Cristóbal Campos had his right foot re-implanted.
