The Pentagon has announced the deployment of additional troops to the Middle East due to escalating violence between Israel and Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.

This move aims to prevent a larger regional conflict, according to Pentagon spokesperson General Pat Ryder.

While no specifics were given regarding the number of troops or their missions, the U.S. currently has 40,000 personnel stationed in the region.
