It was just days after an alleged accident on an electric bicycle on Friday, December 8, according to Deadline.

Friends and family initially believed the incident was the result of a collision between DeForest’s bicycle and a car.

But new information suggests it may have been a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Sterling Place near Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.

Police were not initially called to the scene as it wasn’t thought to be a hit and run.

«He was an amazing person and comedian,» Beck told Deadline. «All of us in the New York comedy scene are truly devastated.»
