Colombian TikToker Found Dead in Mexico City

A 26-year-old Colombian TikToker, identified as Asneydi García Garzón, was found dead in her apartment in Mexico City.

Officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) responded to a call about a person who appeared to be unconscious.

Upon arrival, the officers were met by a security guard who reported that the tenant had not been responding.

Paramedics from the ERUM diagnosed the 26-year-old woman as having no vital signs.

Asneydi was found near her bed, and it is believed that she had been deceased for several days.

Known as «Muñeca» on social media, Asneydi was a content creator for Facebook and TikTok.

She had 9,525 followers on TikTok, and her videos garnered 17.4 thousand «likes.»

Asneydi expressed her love for Asian and Mexican culture, often using Korean, Chinese, and regional Mexican music in her content.

She was a fan of anime and shared content about travel, makeup, and fashion.

According to El Universal, contact has been made with Asneydi’s family through consular channels.

The young Colombian TikToker was the mother of a child who remains in Colombia.

On Facebook, where she had over 7,000 followers, she frequently modeled and interacted with her audience.

The publication noted that two Venezuelans with whom Asneydi was recently seen are considered persons of interest.

La Silla Rota revealed that Asneydi showed signs of violence, leading authorities to investigate her death as a femicide.

Asneydi’s followers have flooded her social media accounts with messages of condolence.

Journalist Carlos Jiménez reported that Asneydi was found alongside a white elephant plush toy.

In one of her last videos, Asneydi García Garzón used a filter that made her face resemble that of a doll.

Another poignant video shows Asneydi at an airport, with the caption: «God, I need you.»

The case remains under investigation as authorities secure the apartment and continue their inquiries.
