Good news! Gas in Michigan is a little cheaper this May.
According to the latest data from AAA (American Automobile Association), prices in Michigan have seen a significant drop.
The agency reported that prices in the state have fallen by 11 cents per gallon to $3.60, which is four cents more than at the same time last month.

The demand for gas rises slightly
In the Detroit metropolitan area, gas prices rose to $3.59 per gallon.
According to WXYZ, this is approximately five cents less than last week, but 18 cents more than last year at this time.
Data from the Energy Information Administration found that gas demand increased slightly.
Meanwhile gas stocks decreased, according to the same source.
Some relief for Michigan motorists
Finally, Adrienne Woodland, a spokeswoman for AAA, commented on the drop in gasoline prices in Michigan this month.
«Michigan motorists are seeing some relief at the pump as the state average drops 11 cents from a week ago.»
Tepid demand, increasing supply, and falling oil prices could push pump prices lower, Woodland stated.
According to WXYZ, the cheapest gas prices in Michigan are in Traverse City ($3.53), Benton Harbor ($3.55), and Marquette ($3.57).
