Just minutes after Silvia Pinal’s death was confirmed, stars began sending condolences on social media.

The so-called Diva of Mexico was deeply loved and respected among celebrities due to her professionalism and human warmth.

Silvia Pinal’s death was confirmed around 6:00 PM Central Mexico Time, although her family has not yet issued a statement.

The actress had been hospitalized at Médica Sur Hospital for a week. While her eldest daughter, Sylvia Pasquel, had previously mentioned that the Diva would be discharged on Wednesday, this did not come to pass.

Shortly after the confirmation of the death of Mexico’s last diva, actress and singer Lucero was one of the first to react, expressing her devastation over the loss.

«My admired and beloved Silvia Pinal. I feel like you will remain with all of us who have admired you for as long as we can remember,» Lucero wrote on X.

«You are one of my favorite actresses of all time. Sharing the stage with you feels like it happened only yesterday; I learned everything I could from you.»

«I hugged you and cherished you so much during all those days. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been close to you during our recordings.»

«I send my love to your beautiful family, your friends, and everyone who will always remember you. Fly high, the heavens welcome you, and you will be the brightest star up there,» Lucero concluded.

Emilio Azcárraga Sends Condolences

«For me, and for the entire Televisa family, we are saddened by the farewell to the diva of Mexican Golden Age Cinema, theater, and television,» wrote Emilio Azcárraga, owner of Televisa.

«At the same time, we are proud to have shared so many years of learning with her in what was, and always will be, her home, Televisa,» the businessman added.

«Goodbye Forever, Silvia Pinal,» he concluded in his message on X.

Actor Ernesto Laguardia shared his tribute: «I am grateful to life for allowing me to share so much with Mexico’s greatest actress, producer, and director.»

«The great SILVIA PINAL, who, in addition to being a fantastic teacher, was a wonderful friend,» he added in his Instagram post.

The actor recalled one of the lessons the actress once shared with him: «The door to success is small and low, and every day you must bow, in the best sense, to pass through it.»
