According to the airline, access to the compartment where the body was found is only possible from the exterior of the plane.
This raises questions about how and when the person managed to enter this dangerous area.
Authorities have not yet revealed the identity, gender, or age of the victim, as reported by EFE.
It has also not been determined whether the individual boarded the plane in Chicago, in São Paulo (Brazil), from where the aircraft had previously arrived, or at another point along its route.
The plane had arrived in Chicago from São Paulo and remained on the ground for about four hours before beginning its flight to Hawaii, according to data from the FlightAware platform.
