A mom was horrified to find something more than ketchup in her 4-year-old daughter’s Burger King meal.
Through Facebook and TikTok, Tiffany Lynn shared her shocking discovery in the order she had just bought from the Burger King located at 2515 Millersport Highway in Getzville, New York.
Tiffany explained that she was rushing through her daily errands when she stopped to buy a kids’ meal for her 4-year-old daughter, Matayla.
In her hurry, Tiffany didn’t check the order and handed it to her daughter in the back seat. After taking a bite of the burger, Matayla made an unsettling observation.
Mom Finds Blood in Daughter’s Burger King Meal
«Mama, there’s ketchup and I didn’t want ketchup,» Matayla said. Tiffany then took the bag back, thinking there had been a mistake with the order, and made a horrifying discovery.
«IT’S BLOOD!» she wrote, recounting her experience on her Facebook account. «There’s blood all over her food and inside the bag!»
The New York mom recounted calling Burger King, where the manager calmly told her, «Yes, one of our employees cut their hand. If you come back, I’ll refund your money.»
But Tiffany was far from concerned about the $10 she paid for the order.
«I’m Furious»
«WHAT!? Now I’m waiting for Tay’s doctor to call back to see if I need to take her to the hospital for blood tests. I’M FURIOUS!» she added in her Facebook post.
In the post, Tiffany included a photo showing the Burger King wrapper covered in prominent blood stains.
The photo, taken inside her car, also showed the toy that came with the kids’ meal.
In a video posted on her TikTok account, Tiffany Floyd showed that the blood wasn’t just on the burger wrapper.
«There’s Blood Everywhere»
There was also blood on the fries and the toy: «There’s blood everywhere.»
In another Facebook post, Tiffany shared the address and location of the Burger King, along with an update on the response from the Health Department.
«I called the sheriff’s department, and they referred me to the Health Department,» Tiffany wrote.
«They called Burger King, and the manager said, ‘Yes, we had a worker who pricked their finger but didn’t think it was bleeding that much.'»
Burger King Offered to Refund the $10
Again, she was invited to return to the restaurant to get her money back: «I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE $10!» she said.
«What about my daughter’s health? I have a pending call with Tay’s doctor, so I’m waiting for someone to call me back because I really don’t know if I should take her to the ER or what to do.»
Since the incident at the end of July, Tiffany has given interviews to various media outlets, including USA Today. «Emotionally, I’m very stressed about this,» she told USA Today, adding that she’s also «exhausted» and that her «anxiety is terrible.»
Her concern is for Matayla’s health, as her daughter will have to undergo blood tests every month for a year to rule out any possible diseases.
