A robbery in progress at a Walmart branch activated several security agencies and unleashed a police chase in the Aurora area that ended with the arrest of two suspects.

It was 2:45 in the afternoon when two unknown individuals entered the department store branch at 5650 S. Chambers Road, in Aurora, Colorado; and, allegedly using firearms, committed the robbery.

When officers arrived at the Walmart location, the main suspects were fleeing in a car and decided to pursue them, leading to a chase that extended to East 40th Avenue and Tower Road.

To apprehend the alleged perpetrators of the robbery at the retail giant, the intervention of officers from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Aurora Police Department was necessary.

They hid, but Aurora police officers managed to locate and arrest them, as detailed in their official report.

Additionally, a firearm, presumably used by the two detainees to subdue Walmart employees, was recovered at the scene.

The suspects were identified as two young men, aged 19 and 20. Despite the suspects being in police custody, the investigation remains active.

Aurora officers are searching for the passengers of the sedan whom the detainees attempted to rob of their car and are continuing to review surveillance cameras and collect testimonies of what happened inside Walmart.
