In a brief message to the media, the president emphasized the need to wait for more information before making any judgments on the matter.

«We’re going to wait until we have more information. I think by Monday, during La Mañanera, we’ll be able to discuss this properly,» the president stated.

During his remarks, López Obrador highlighted that, despite the news of Zambada’s arrest and the accusations linking him with Sinaloa Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, the most important thing was to maintain peace and tranquility in the country.

«The Important Thing Is That There Is Peace»

«The important thing is that there is peace. There is tranquility in Sinaloa, throughout the region, and in the country. That’s the most important thing,» the president emphasized.

He also called for patience until Rocha Moya could provide his version of events.

The written statement by Zambada García, which surfaced this Saturday, has caused a significant stir.

According to the Sinaloa Cartel leader, before being captured by U.S. authorities, he had been informed that he would meet with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya and Héctor Cuén Ojeda.
