Arcos Catalán also highlighted his emotional bond with Chilpancingo, comparing it to the gaze of his children, revealing his integrity and transparency as both a person and a leader.

“I’ve lived here all my life, I’ve never left, and I want to die here. But I also want to die fighting for my city, for my municipality,” he affirmed, words that have tragically taken on a profound significance after his assassination.

The mayor’s body was found in the Villa del Roble neighborhood, inside a vehicle, in a scene of extreme violence.

His decapitated head was placed on the roof of the car, an image that quickly spread across social media, igniting outrage and shock.
