During the program, Adamari López shared an experience that has deeply impacted her professional and personal life.

With a steady voice, she expressed, “Actions driven by malice are things that I would consider toxic. I’m going to tell you what happened to me.”

With these words, López disclosed an incident of “inappropriate touching” that she experienced at her previous workplace.

Narrating the details of the event, López described how a colleague, who was not part of her own show, made a gesture during a photograph they took together.

“That colleague placed his hand on a part where it seemed like he was touching my buttocks,” the host declared.

The situation did not go unnoticed, and soon uncomfortable comments emerged regarding it.

“Somebody said, ‘He was touching her, and that looks bad,'” López recalled. In response, both individuals were brought to human resources to address the incident.

López emphasized that she had never formally lodged a complaint about it. “Someone had done it for me,” she clarified.

Furthermore, she emphasized that throughout her career, she had never experienced a similar lack of respect. “Nobody has ever disrespected me,” she affirmed.

However, López also defended her colleague, portraying him as a good coworker who had not done anything wrong.

“He was a very good colleague and hadn’t done any of the things the other person thought he had done,” she declared convincingly.

The host concluded with a reflective piece of advice, highlighting the importance of standing up for oneself and carefully choosing the people one surrounds themselves with in the workplace.

“You have to know how to defend yourself with someone and choose carefully the people you surround yourself with to know what can affect you and what cannot,” she expressed.

With these words, Adamari López not only shared a personal experience but also delivered a powerful message about respect in the workplace.

In an enlightening addition to the conversation, María Celeste, who was a special guest on Univision‘s program, also spoke about toxicity in the workplace.

“Envy is the first ingredient of toxicity in the workplace,” the host declared firmly.

She explained how focusing on others’ salaries and achievements can hinder one’s own progress.

“The one who is preoccupied with someone else’s salary, who lives like that, doesn’t get far in any job,” she emphasized.

María Celeste underscored the importance of concentrating on one’s own goals and not wasting time on gossip and envy.

“You invest that time that could be used to progress in being preoccupied with those silly cafeteria gossip,” she concluded, conveying a powerful message.
