Leslie Sloane, Shannen Doherty’s representative, stated, «With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of actress Shannen Doherty on Saturday, July 13.»

She told People magazine, «She lost her battle against the cancer she had been fighting for years.»

In her final months, the famous actress openly shared her tough battle with cancer and her acceptance of her fate.

She even criticized the Actors Association, led by Fran Drescher, for not supporting her in covering her medical expenses.

The actress passed away surrounded by her loved ones: «the devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her family and her dog, Bowie,» added her representative.
