A pileup of vehicles involving Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s election caravan left at least one person with minor injuries.
The accident occurred on a highway in Milwaukee, in the northeastern United States.
Walz, who is the Democratic candidate for vice president of the United States, was unharmed.
Local media reported on the accident on Tuesday.
Walz out of danger after accident in his caravan
Walz was not directly involved in the crash, which happened Monday on Interstate 794.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris called Walz to check on him.
The vehicles that collided were at the end of the caravan.
They were carrying journalists who were going to cover a Walz rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After the rally, Walz expressed relief that everyone affected would be OK.
«With some minor injuries, everyone is going to be fine,» Walz said.

He thanked the Secret Service and local first responders for their quick response.
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance also sent a message of support.
