A mother experienced hours of terror and anguish after four women entered her home and forcibly took her six-year-old son in an SUV.

With knives in hand, according to the arrest report, Eva Lenora IcaI IcaI, 32, Ingris IcaI IcaI, 22, Marcia IcaI IcaI, 30 and Dilia Pop IcaI IcaI, 24, subdued the woman inside a house in southern Melbourne County, Florida.

It was almost noon on April 20, 2024, when officers from the Melbourne Police Department received a call informing them a little boy had been kidnapped.

The complainant told the officers that she could not prevent her son’s abduction because the women threatened to seriously injure her.

The distraught mother was able to see the car that sped off with her son inside.

Immediately, the Melbourne Police Department issued a statewide vehicle alert for an SUV with an Alabama license plates, containing four women suspected of kidnapping a child.

It was presumed they were heading north to Alabama.

Despite the authorities’ quick response, the search for the little boy lasted for nearly 12 hours.

Finally, in the evening, Melbourne Police Sergeant Benjamin Slover made an announcement.

«Deputies with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the vehicle traveling west on Interstate 10.»

During the operation, officers forced the driver to pull over, rescued the child, and arrested the alleged kidnappers.

Melbourne Mayor Paul Afrey issued a statement thanking police for their quick response.

He said: «We appreciate their work and dedication every day to keep our community safe.»

The child underwent a medical check-up and, according to authorities, was unharmed.

All the women traveling in the SUV were taken in for questioning and later transferred to jail.

Although all the suspects all have the same last name, police did not comment on whether they were all related or on their relationship with the child.

Investigators believe that they are related to the child’s father who resides in Alabama.

Currently, all of the suspects are facing the same charges.

These include, burglary, grand theft in a dwelling, aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, child abuse and unlawful possession of another person’s personal identification information.

Authorities reported that in the coming days, the four suspects will be extradited to Brevard County.
