  • Police unleash all-out attack on sex workers.
  • At least seven people have been arrested.
  • Authorities will continue to disrupt these human trafficking networks.

The Brookhaven Police Department has just revealed that it dealt a serious blow to businesses that are dedicated to selling sexual services in Georgia with the arrest of seven individuals, including several women, who profited from selling their bodies to strangers in massage parlors.

The authorities informed the local media that these were people who operated clandestinely, as prostitutes, in facilities where, in theory, what they were supposed to be performing relaxing massages for clients who needed to de-stress. That is precisely why they had been granted an operating license.

However, the police allege that in reality the male clients came, not looking for massages, but to satisfy their sexual needs, for which they paid hundreds of dollars, or even more than a thousand dollars, depending on the services they wanted.

The investigation into this illicit network began in early May, after police received many complaints from «massage parlors that, in reality, were clandestine centers of prostitution,» police sources said in a press release. Orange Massage is the name of one of the businesses they raided. Then they found out about Sauna O. The police set up surveillance of both businesses located on Buford Highway and even sent undercover officers. After verifying that they were offering more than massages they decided to make arrests. «Literally, they offered sexual favors in exchange for money,» they say. Arriving at the businesses with the respective search warrants, police found a couple of naked clients caught in the act. Of course, there were also condoms lying around, so apparently the women at least required them to use them before proceeding with the «massage».

Seeing that her workplace was the subject of a police investigation, one of the sex workers tried to escape by running out the back door but was caught. In the end, the five women and the two men ended up behind bars accused of prostitution. Filed Under: Chronicle police beat prostitutes.

Gary Yandura, Brookhaven Police Chief, was pleased with the result of this operation and stated that they will continue with investigations into this type of crime in his city. “Our officers are committed to improving the quality of life for those who live in our communities,” the official stressed.

Whether we agree or not, in most states in the US prostitution is illegal no matter how accustomed we are to seeing this as a normal thing because in many Latin American countries this kind of service is offered in public and there are even exclusive sites where you can obtain it..
