After Britney Spears shared a new version of her iconic hit Baby One More Time, she and Elton John have debuted their long-awaited duet Hold Me Closer. The title is taken from Elton John’s hit Tiny Dancer released in 1971.
After several weeks of the two artists joking around on social media and previewing a bit of this collaboration, the song is finally available on streaming platforms and on Elton John’s YouTube channel, according to EFE.

It is a disco song influenced by the dance genre with plenty of references to other music by both singers. Although it is heavily influenced by Tiny Dancer, the song also winks at other songs such as Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, which Elton John released in 1976.
The option to pre-save this single was enabled in early August and recently there were even rumors that it had been leaked.
