And the president added in his defense: “All this is really very ordinary, very vulgar. I’m sorry because, for example, Mr. Muñoz Ledo knows me very well and dares to maintain that the government has ties to drug trafficking. It is a judgment without foundation, reckless.”

But then President AMLO went further regarding the statements made by Labastida that he supposedly had a link with drug trafficking and a pact with Peña Nieto, because even the journalist was «attacked» with so many accusations between politicians on the issue of AMLO and his alleged link to drug trafficking.

Given the accusation of an alleged pact between him and Peña Nieto upon handing over power, Andrés Manuel Lópz Obrador said: “Now imagine the argument that I made an agreement with Peña Nieto, that’s why I won. What I did was thank Peña Nieto that he did not get involved, as Fox did and as Calderón did and as others did, in the fraud.”

To finish, he added the following: “It did not prevent me from reaching the presidency with the vote of the citizens, as if Fox prevented it. And we all know. I am here due to the support of the people,” he declared to the reporters who come every day. Filed Under: AMLO drug trafficking link

When asking «with what authority» Labastida gave these statements to the journalist, President López Obrador said: «And what causes me the most sorrow is Carmen Aristegui, who also knows me. I am not Salinas, nor am I Zedillo, nor am I Fox, nor am I Calderón, nor am I Peña Nieto.” While telling that former President Enrique Peña Nieto acted in accordance with the law in the 2018 presidential election. President López Obrador took the opportunity to say that Aristegui «cheated» as «champion of freedom.»

“But I am here due to the support of the people. That is why we are advancing in the transformation, because if I had arrived with the support of vested interest groups, I would not be able to do anything at all.»And in the case of Peña, since I took office, I publicly recognized him, what I am here now supporting,» expressed the President Lopez Obrador.
