Go back to your makeup tutorials on Insta, you’re actually good at it,» Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said in a tweet.

Ocasio-Cortez immediately clapped back: «No faking here. Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice while detained, handcuffed or not, to avoid escalating charges like resisting arrest.»

Last Friday, the US Lower House, controlled by Democrats, approved two bills to protect access to abortion in the US, which have little sign of progressing in the Senate, where progressives have a narrow majority, EFE reported. At the moment, they are still looking for a way to ensure abortion remains legal.

One of these initiatives supports access to abortion by enshrining that right as federal law and the other protects travel between states to receive care. At the end of June, the Supreme Court repealed legal protections for abortion, overturning the 1973 ruling in the Roe v. Wade case. Filed Under: Alexandria Ocasio Cortez
