IMMIGRANTS ARE SAVED! The Office of Customs and Border Protection reported a surprising incident that occurred in Hidalgo County, Texas where a group of migrants were hiding. The authorities responded to an emergency call that led to the rescue of 28 immigrants.

Authorities have reported that CBP agents apprehended 199,976 foreigners in the month of July, according to EFE. The figures showed a decrease of 14% compared to the month of May, when 239,416 people of various nationalities were apprehended.

Twenty-eight migrants were rescued from a house in Texas, after a woman called 911 and said she was being held against her will, the Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP) reported today. They declared in a press release that 28 people were saved.

“Border Patrol agents and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office deputies rescued 28 noncitizens from an Edinburg stash house. Two other smuggling events were foiled and resulted in the identification of a foot-guide,” authorities stated.

In the statement released by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), it was reported that a woman called 911 and claimed not to be from the United States. She said that there were more than 27 people in the same place and that they were being held against their will. The authorities paid attention to the woman’s complaint and went to the scene.

“On August 15, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of RGV agents after receiving a 911 emergency call from a female non-citizen claiming she was being held against her will at a residence in Edinburg,” declared the Office of Customs and Border Protection.

According to the information offered by the Customs and Border Protection Office, after the report made by the woman, police and agents went to the site and found 28 migrants who were from Mexico and Central America. The report stated that the person holding them against her will left before the police arrived.

“Deputies and agents responded to the residence and encountered 28 noncitizens from Mexico and Central America in good health. The caretaker departed the location before the teams arrived, ” the authorities stated in the press release that was provided. Filed Under: Emergency call saves migrants

The arrival of migrants through the southern border continues to be high, although in the last two months it has registered slight decreases, the CBP agency reported on Monday. Last month, CBP agents apprehended 199,976 foreigners along the country’s southern border, a decrease of 4% compared to June, when 207,416 were apprehended, the EFE news agency reported.
